Philly four-piece Webb Chapel are gearing up for their new record World Cup, due 6 September via Strange Mono Records. In anticipation of the upcoming album, TGEFM is thrilled to premiere the new single and video “Shipping Containers Anonymous.”
As if this single wasn’t a reason enough to pick up a copy of World Cup, all proceeds from tape sales and 100% of downloads will be donated to Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS).
Vocalist and guitarist Zack Claxton explains the song:
“This one is dedicated to all the freight traveling across this great nation. One need only jump on the highway to wonder how much contraband is flowing by in the right lane. Maybe one of the trucks is full of snakes? Evidence? What if the snake truck got mixed up with the evidence truck? Would anyone notice? Would anyone care? After all one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. What better way to celebrate this concept than at the American Treasure Tour museum. That’s where we filmed this video. It contains ephemera from an era long gone.”

Bad Dad (occasionally called Ed) has been on the periphery of the punk and punk-adjacent scene for over twenty years. While many contributors to this site have musical experience and talent, Ed’s musical claim to fame comes from his time in arguably the most punk rock Blockbuster Video district in NJ where he worked alongside members of Blanks 77, Best Hit TV and Brian Fallon. He is more than just an awful father to his 2 daughters, he is also a dreadful husband, a subpar writer, a terrible dresser and has a severe deficiency in all things talent… but hey, at least he’s self-aware, amirite?
