Swedish power trio 偏執症者 (Paranoid) start the back half of their cover of the month run through 2025, which celebrates the tenth anniversary of the last time they did this back in 2015.
For July’s tune they harken back to 1986 (or 1989, depending on how you look at it) for a cover of thrash death metal act Repulsion and their song “Slaughter of the Innocent.” That song is the title track to their 1986 demo, which found re-release in 1989 by Necrosis Records under the new title Horrified, along with a very minor change up in the track order towards the end of the B-side. Only two of the eighteen songs on this album broach the two-minute mark, and barely that. good stuff.
