FAQs

What is That’s Good Enough For Me?

That’s Good Enough For Me is a website for news and other goodness that is primarily concerned with the genre of music called “punk.”

If you’re about punk, then what’s this “punk. punk adjacent. and everything else” at the top of the page?

Well, we have lots of interests, and feel that things which may or may not be traditionally “punk,” or even music for that matter, may have a place here. We’re pretty open like that.

OK, but what does “that’s good enough for me” mean?

It is taken from the intro to the song “Almost Punk Enough” from the 1995 Slaptick album Lookit!

Yeah, you’re punk enough
Well yeah, that’s good enough for me!

We feel that’s a pretty cool sentiment.

Hey, I’ve got some cool news about (insert whatever here)! How do I get that to you?

Head over to the Submissions form!

Why do you use social media logins, and what are you doing with my data?

The answer to the first is to try to make things easier for the user to log in, comment, and share. If visitors prefer, they can also create a local account at TGEFM.

TGEFM doesn’t use any of your data for any purposes other than login credentials. The social media logins are controlled by a third-party plugin, whereas the “local” credentials are controlled in-house. If, at any time, you want us to clear out any data on you we may hold locally, simply fill out the contact form, and be sure to use the email address and username associated with it. This only works with the local logins though. If you use your social media credentials, those are handled by their respective services.

I see you run ads on the site. What’s up with that?

TGEFM doesn’t charge anyone anything for anything. But we (really, I) am just looking to recoup some of the costs to maintain and run the site.

What if I want to come write, take photos, or contribute to TGEFM?

Shoot an email to us and we’ll get back to you.

How’s your day going?

Swimmingly. Yours?
