The iconic 924 Gilman in Berkeley, California is holding a festival to raise funds and keep their DIY doors open.
From the 924 Gilman Facebook page:
You’ve seen your favorite shows with us. You’ve danced, played, moshed, and maybe even made some friends. Now it’s time to pull together and help keep the oldest running, loudest, proudest DIY, all-ages, volunteer-run music venue open. Since 1986, we’ve been the heart of the Bay Area’s punk and alternative all ages music scene. And with your help we can keep going strong. This Saturday, join some of your favorite musicians and legendary never-seen Gilman performances to raise funds for the space. The festival will be streaming on our Facebook at 4 pm (PT). 100% of funds donated will go towards keeping the Gilman open and CLIF GreenNotes will be matching donations up to $10k. Mark your calendars, share with friends, come ready for old faves, and definitely some new surprises!
The event will be streaming via 924 Gilman’s Facebook page, starting at 7pm EDT / 4pm PDT. We’ll also remind you about it in our Quarantine Concert Roundup on the day of (which is starting to look very packed as far as livestreams go).
