Sacramento quintet A Foreign Affair have debuted the music video for “Losing the Memory.”
The song can be found on the band’s album Still Frame, out now on SBG Records.
Singer Alex Strobaugh explains the personal details of the song:
“I wrote this song as a form of therapy to process my mother’s diagnosis with Alzheimer’s this year, this disease affects so many families and I wanted to pay respect to that pain. In this music video, there are clips from home videos that my family took growing up and it is incredibly personal to me so I hope this conveys a feeling of empathy towards anyone who might be going through the pain that it can bring.”
Bad Dad (occasionally called Ed) has been on the periphery of the punk and punk-adjacent scene for over twenty years. While many contributors to this site have musical experience and talent, Ed’s musical claim to fame comes from his time in arguably the most punk rock Blockbuster Video district in NJ where he worked alongside members of Blanks 77, Best Hit TV and Brian Fallon. He is more than just an awful father to his 2 daughters, he is also a dreadful husband, a subpar writer, a terrible dresser and has a severe deficiency in all things talent… but hey, at least he’s self-aware, amirite?
