New Jersey’s Royden has returned, reinvigorated as Royden Stork with a new single “Pale Horses.” The five-piece have reunited original members in April amidst the global pandemic to create their first new music in fourteen years.
Formed in 2003, Royden previously released Best Friends, Worst Enemies on Genco Recordss in 2004, then signing to Hopeless Records to put out 2005’s In The House of Attics. Prior to their breakup in 2008, Royden was known for their chaotic live shows and blending of influences such as At the Drive-In, The Who, Talking Heads and Led Zepellin.
All signs point to more tunes on the horizon sooner rather than later.
Bad Dad (occasionally called Ed) has been on the periphery of the punk and punk-adjacent scene for over twenty years. While many contributors to this site have musical experience and talent, Ed’s musical claim to fame comes from his time in arguably the most punk rock Blockbuster Video district in NJ where he worked alongside members of Blanks 77, Best Hit TV and Brian Fallon. He is more than just an awful father to his 2 daughters, he is also a dreadful husband, a subpar writer, a terrible dresser and has a severe deficiency in all things talent… but hey, at least he’s self-aware, amirite?
