TGEFM is mighty chuffed, for the second time*, to premiere the new Local Violence LP Good Enough! (it’s almost like the fates destined us to do this)
This is the Kentucky-based “piss poor pop punk” (their words, not mine!) band’s debut LP, and follows up their 2019 Deadbeat EP. The album is chock full of catchy hooks and sing along choruses. But behind that pop-punk veneer is some great composition where songs will surprise you with sudden and unique changes that catch the listener off-guard.
Caleb Wallace says:
I’ve always been fascinated with the art of building a full-length album, for a long time I admired that art from a distance. I tried for years to find the formula, by the time I joined Local Violence we just moved as our music guided us. By the time we were in the studio, we had this collection of songs that came straight from our heart. It was a collective effort, as opposed to my years trying to make something on my own that stood up to some busted standard I had in my head. All of those insecurities about being someone and living the life I have, I just wanted to make something worth listening to. These guys helped me figure out how to make music in a way I never realized I could. Starting work on this album was like the start of a new chapter in my life and I’m glad we got to do that together.

*if you’re experiencing a bit of deja-vu, you’re not crazy. TGEFM liked this premiere so much we accidentally jumped the gun and posted it LAST Friday. so we tore it all down and rescheduled for its proper release date this week.
the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, and now within earshot of SFO in the Bay Area. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
