Massachusetts trio Already Dead release their first new music of 2024 with the single “The Spirit of Massachusetts Avenue” and, guess what? It’s the first pre-release single to a new LP on the way!
The confrontational track finds the Boston punk band canvassing the different sides of life that exist along the notable and winding 16-mile stretch of Bay State roadway, connecting the posh suburbs and tidy colleges with the grittier side of life in the city, especially the infamous “Mass & Cass” area of rehab centers and homeless encampments. Every town in America has a Massachusetts Avenue.
The new album is titled Something Like War, which is due out 26 Jul 2024. That’ll be their sophomore LP after 2022’s My Collar is Blue.
