This is the first in a semi-regular series of anniversary reviews. As the title implies, a TGEFM reviewer or reviewers look back at an album on its 10th, 15th, 20th, etc. anniversary, not only to assess how it has stood the test of time, but also how it fits within the band’s overall discography.
We are super-stoked that we are launching this initiative on the anniversary of a classic in punk albums: Bad Religion‘s 1990 LP Against the Grain. We are lucky enough to have two reviewers tackle this anniversary review with praising, yet quite different overall impressions.
So why don’t you throw Against the Grain on, site back, and check out each review below.

Additionally, Norway’s Anti-Lam Front have posted a great cover of “Flat Earth Society” over on Facebook. Check it out!
the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, and now within earshot of SFO in the Bay Area. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
