Bandcamp has announced that they will be continuing the Bandcamp Friday initiative into 2021, with the monthly event extended at least into May (albeit taking January off).
The popular program, wherein Bandcamp waives their fees so that artists/labels on the platform receive 100% of the profits from sales, started as a one-off event in March of 2020, but soon became a regular feature as the pandemic hobbled the music industry. Additionally, many bands now use Bandcamp Friday to raise awareness, and funds, for charity- funneling their profits back out the door and on to worthy causes.
Bandcamp Friday takes place on the first Friday of the month. Below are the current upcoming dates for 2021:

TGEFM will, as always, put out a reminder post first thing on each Bandcamp Friday. We will also post our Friday Corral of new releases early on the day (the Corral regularly posts at 12pm EST), and update it with new album links throughout the day.
