Georgia’s Black Tusk, which are like, I don’t know, dark-grunge? Metal? They call themselves “swamp metal” and, yeah… that works. Either way, they’ve got a new LP, The Way Forward, their seventh, due out 26 Apr 2024 via Season of Mist.
Anyhow… did I mention I can’t nail them down? Well that’s a good thing, because I love the new pre-release single “Brushfire.” What genre is it? if you answered anything other than “hard and heavy” you may be wrong, or right! (Swamp Metal… you know). But it’s strangely attractive. Check it out.
As with all Season of Mist releases, the album is available for preorder on a variety of physical media (CD, multiple vinyl, digital DL), along with a boatload of merch at Bandcamp. The song, and their previous releases, are also streaming over at Spotify.
