Originating from Buffalo, NY the ominously, and maybe a bit confusingly-named (I’m sure they have their reasons) Black & White Cat / Black & White Cake have released their first new music in three years, along with the announcement of their debut LP.
“Slipping Away” is the first single from the self-titled full-length, which is due out 05 Oct 2024 via Swimming Faith Records. The song is a bit dark wave-y but with some quality rock sounds along the lines of proto-punk.
That album will follow the 2021 Ectoplasm Orgasm and 2019 self-titled EPs. You can preorder it on digital and vinyl at their Bandcamp, and stream the new single and their previous music at Spotify.
the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, and now within earshot of SFO in the Bay Area. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
