UK’s Born Shit Stirrers have released a new single. The track, “Richard Gere,” comes off of their upcoming split 7″ with Ledzepvietcong, Overworked Underfucked, which is due out this coming July via Serial Bowl Records.
The track features guest musicians Mike Watt (Minutemen, fIREHOSE) on bass and Reverend Nørb (Boris the Sprinkler) on backing vocals. Just Some Punk Songs says it’s a cover song from an obscure band called The Bumblebees, and who am I to disagree with Mick?
You can check out the new track below.
the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, and now within earshot of SFO in the Bay Area. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
it was straight from the horses (Jon Bates) mouth “It’s a cover of an unknown band called The Bumblebees. No one will know them. Aarons friends joke band.”
Makes me curious what they sounded like.
