Pop-punks Bowling For Soup are advocating for metal health in their newest video. The band has dropped “Hello Anxiety” off of the recently released Pop Drunk Snot Bread as a music video.
Of the track, frontman Jarret Reddick says:
“Unfortunately, over the years, it’s become something I’ve said under my breath or out loud much, more than I’d like. I knew the premise of this song before Linus and I sat down to write it, but it was important to me that it didn’t turn out just like all the other songs about mental health. There comes a point in your life when you can just feel it coming, and you almost have to laugh. It isn’t funny by any means, but geeeez….how do I see it coming so often now. That’s what this song is!”

Bad Dad (occasionally called Ed) has been on the periphery of the punk and punk-adjacent scene for over twenty years. While many contributors to this site have musical experience and talent, Ed’s musical claim to fame comes from his time in arguably the most punk rock Blockbuster Video district in NJ where he worked alongside members of Blanks 77, Best Hit TV and Brian Fallon. He is more than just an awful father to his 2 daughters, he is also a dreadful husband, a subpar writer, a terrible dresser and has a severe deficiency in all things talent… but hey, at least he’s self-aware, amirite?
