Riot Squad Media’s Camp Punksylvania will return for another weekend of ska and ska-punk in 2024 and the list of performers is already epic. So far the annual festival has announced Laura Jane Grace, Big D and The Kids Table, Diesel Boy, We Are The Union, Skating Polly, The Venomous Pinks, FEA, Flatfoot 56, Sammy Kay, The Punk Cellist, Tired Radio, SOJI, A Day Without Love and Suburban Downgrade.
This year’s event looks to be free of flea market takeovers, taking place at a new venue, West End Fairgrounds in Gilbert, PA from 5-7 July and will feature 4 stages. Early bird tickets, including camping and hotel deals, can be purchased here.
This fast-growing fest has seen previous performances from Guttermouth, The Queers, The Suicide Machines, and Tsunami Bomb. Camp Punksylvania 2024 is sponsored by Sherman Theater, Creative Concerts, Punk Rock Saves Lives, Stupid Rad Merch Co, Skid Row Garage & WaxPax Records.

Bad Dad (occasionally called Ed) has been on the periphery of the punk and punk-adjacent scene for over twenty years. While many contributors to this site have musical experience and talent, Ed’s musical claim to fame comes from his time in arguably the most punk rock Blockbuster Video district in NJ where he worked alongside members of Blanks 77, Best Hit TV and Brian Fallon. He is more than just an awful father to his 2 daughters, he is also a dreadful husband, a subpar writer, a terrible dresser and has a severe deficiency in all things talent… but hey, at least he’s self-aware, amirite?
