Long Beach, CA label International City Recordings have put together a massive ska comp for charity. 4th Wave Ska Vol. Too features forty tracks from bands around the world and, although it is a name-you-price download (which means you can technically get it for free), International City is donating all proceeds from the comp to Alpha Boys School which “provides a caring and committed environment to youth in need of educational, vocational and life skills training.”
So open up your wallet, grab horn section-load of ska, and skank the night away.
the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, and now within earshot of SFO in the Bay Area. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
Thanks for covering this comp. greatly appreciated! PEACE!
