While recognizably ‘hardcore,” Contention have a very strong metal influence, and I’m taking real metal… not “nu-metal.” They’ve got a new album on the way, Artillery from Heaven*, due out 03 May 2024 via DAZE. Along with that announcement they’re released the first single “In the Land of Nod,” and it’s a proper banger.
