Late in 2023 Dutch pop/melodic punks Coral Springs began releasing new music, their first since their 2019 Always Lost, Never Found LP. Starting with “Mayday” in October, in 2024 they followed up with “Father” in March and then “Another Try” in April. All three songs are, ostensibly, stand-alone singles. But there is a unifying theme in the art for each of them that hints at a broader connection.
Well, we have no answers on that front yet, but the band has released a new song, “This Is Not A Drill,” their first since that one back in April, and again the accompanying art fits the visual theme. What does it mean? Wat betekent dit?!?
I mean, it really doesn’t matter because the song rocks. Mark Bell told me a long ago that vocalist Jo Bouwmeester was somethings special, and he wasn’t kidding. That voice!
All of these tracks are out by Lockjaw Records. You can hear the new single below, and find more Coral Springs at their official page, with music at Bandcamp and Spotify.
