Chicago hardcore/thrash crossover act Coronary have a new album in the wings. Titled The Future is Now, the album is due out 13 Oct 2023 via Rad Girlfriend Records. This will be their first new release in seven years, following their debut, self-titled EP.
The band has also released the first single from the album, “Let’s Lynch the Klan Lord.” Two things about this song: 1) it isn’t a parody of Dead Kennedys‘ “Let’s Lynch the Landlord,” and 2) it is pretty short. at 1m3s, you could fit 8 1/2 of them into one “November Rain.”
Preorders for digital download are available at the Coronary Bandcamp, while the Rad Girlfriend shop has vinyl preorders up. There’s also Spotify.
the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, and now within earshot of SFO in the Bay Area. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
