Pennsylvania melodic punks Crossed Keys have released a new song from their upcoming album. “Who We Never Were” comes from the upcoming Believes In You, which arrives 05 May 2023 via Sell The Heart and Dead Satellite Records.
Vocalist Josh Alvarez describes the new single:
“‘Vina Park’ is a song about friendship. Nothing out of the ordinary as far as thematic elements in Crossed Keys songs are concerned, but the subject matter of our friends is foundational to the entire thesis of our lyrical oeuvre. Or something like that. In any case, we celebrate friends and this song is about that.”
You can pre-order physical copies of the album from Dead Satellite and Sell The Heart and digital copies can be had from Bandcamp. Here’s “Vina Park”.
Bad Dad (occasionally called Ed) has been on the periphery of the punk and punk-adjacent scene for over twenty years. While many contributors to this site have musical experience and talent, Ed’s musical claim to fame comes from his time in arguably the most punk rock Blockbuster Video district in NJ where he worked alongside members of Blanks 77, Best Hit TV and Brian Fallon. He is more than just an awful father to his 2 daughters, he is also a dreadful husband, a subpar writer, a terrible dresser and has a severe deficiency in all things talent… but hey, at least he’s self-aware, amirite?
