Culture Abuse is the latest band to come forward with a statement regarding allegations of sexual misconduct to surface in light of recent news surrounding Burger Records.
The band took to Twitter to announce that in an effort to make the victim their first priority, they will no longer continue as a band and have distanced themselves from David Kelling, the band’s lead singer, and would no longer associate with him openly. The post goes on to detail the plan to shift the band’s social media presence to no longer feature the word “abuse” and they will further use their platform to discuss and share important information for both abusers and victims. The remaining remembers are encouraging their fans to create an open dialogue with them.
