Toronto melodic punk quintet Debt Cemetery have released a new single “Daved and Confused.” This is the band’s first new music since the 2020 debut EP Dig It Yourself.
Per the band:
The song tells the story of a broken man, struggling with his addictions – something we can all relate to. The lyrics bring to life the inner perspective and downward spiral that comes with the seemingly inescapable cycle of substance abuse. The title to the track comes into full fruition for the ending of the song with multiple vocal layers helping emphasize the character’s feelings of chaos and being overwhelmed with their doubts and thoughts.
A great track for melodic punk fans, let’s hope that there is more in the pipeline from the band to be announced soon.
