Ether (Sep 2024), Fire (Feb 2025), and now Air.
UK’s multi-guest musical project Hike The Peak, the brainchild of Lee Byatt, release the next entry in what can reasonably be referred to as their third project.
A quick refresher: Lee, along with a cast of guest musicians, write and perform the music, and an ever bigger rotating cast of musicians from other musicians or bands worldwide provide the lyrics and vocals. So while each song has that core to build on, each song also takes on its own life due to the benefit of other bands’ involvement.
With Air, Lee taps in the vocal and songwriting skills of Helen McWilliams of Salem, Massachussetts’ melodic punks ONE FALL (“Hold Fast the Bonds”) and Sara Cruz of UK’s Blagged (“On the Edge”).
The current “third” project follows One, Two, Three, Four, and Five from 2021-2022; and the collectively-named Only The True Fly Free released from 2022-2023.
