Dave Smalley and Don’t Sleep have released the lyric video for “No Other Way” off the forthcoming LP, Turn the Tide. Preorder the new album, releasing 4 September, here.
“No Other Way” has quite a significant hardcore pedigree, in addition to the obvious involvement of vocalist Smalley who has previously fronted DYS, All, Dag Nasty and Down By Law, the song was produced by Walter Schreifels of Quicksand, Rival Schools, Gorilla Biscuits and more while tracking was done by Be Well frontman Brian McTernan and the album will be released on Victory Records’ founder Tony Brumel’s new label Mission Two Entertainment.
Bad Dad (occasionally called Ed) has been on the periphery of the punk and punk-adjacent scene for over twenty years. While many contributors to this site have musical experience and talent, Ed’s musical claim to fame comes from his time in arguably the most punk rock Blockbuster Video district in NJ where he worked alongside members of Blanks 77, Best Hit TV and Brian Fallon. He is more than just an awful father to his 2 daughters, he is also a dreadful husband, a subpar writer, a terrible dresser and has a severe deficiency in all things talent… but hey, at least he’s self-aware, amirite?
