Zegema Beach Records – 08 Feb 2026
The debut EP of Biological Fathers, featuring members of Frail Body, Eyelet, Crowning, New Grass, and Majorel; sees the band giving themselves an interesting task:
This album was both written and recorded in this order. Additional members were added only after the previous one had recorded. No one had input in each others’ contributions.
Guitar – Dave Cullen
Drums – Robbie Hansen
Guitar – Jesse Mowery
Bass – Lucio Oquendo
Vocals – Lowell Shaffer
We’re curious if the Biological Fathers project will continue with the same musicians, or if the name will live on as a project with new line ups each and every time?

the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, the SF/Bay Area, and now the Twin Cities. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
