Tragical History Tour, the sometimes full-band, sometimes solo acoustic act of Make-That-A-Take Records founder and leader Derrick Johnston, has released a new EP of loose, and loosely recorded, sings wearing the hat of the latter. Per the Bandcamp description, Dead Sketches is “Dead sketches over a year or so. Recorded on the couch in one take. Played by derrick on nylon-stringed acoustic.”
They may rough and raw, but Derrick has never been shy about sharing music in all of its creative stages. Maybe we’;; hear some of these fleshed out in the future, maybe not. But it’s good that we have them now, and as a name-your-price download, what’s not to like?
