Haha! I was RIGHT!
UK melodic punk/hardcore act Fair Do’s have following up their recent lyric video for “Consolation” with the official video. Aliens attack in what is a low-budget, but clever (and highly amusing) bit of special effects magic.
The band has this to say about this cinema masterpiece:
Afternoon, folks. If you haven’t noticed yet, we run on a budget. That budget is tight. Not tight like, “shit is tight, yo.”, but tight like the oxygen supply to Jacob Rees Mogg’s lizard brain, or diminutive, like Alexander Boris DePfeffel Johnson’s sense of shame.
However! For the Consolation video, we bust out the big guns. Budgets to rival a meal for 7 in pound bakery. Special effects to rival George Lucasé and his terrible, space-based allegories. We don’t do things by halves here. So, please enjoy our video for Consolation. We might be so bold as to recommend you enjoy the video with some of those jalapeño pretzel bites that everyone knows are well good.
(Note the above band photo is now, sadly out of date. Josh on bass has left the band and has been replaced by Willis. Welcome aboard, Willis!)
