Monster Zero / Hey Pizza! / OUTLOUD! / Memorable But Not Honorable, 04 Jun 2023
Pop punk extraordinaires Jagger Holly have announced a new album coming in short order. Rivoltella is a 29-song double LP coming out on a venerable who’s who of pop punk labels. This is the first new album from the band since 2018’s The Last Of The International Playboys. Rivoltella arrives 21 Jun and pre-orders are already up over at Monster Zero (EU) and Hey Pizza! (US) – use the links below.
Ahead of the release, the band has delivered a lead single and video. The song is called “Keep Dreaming” and it’s probably what you’re expecting. Gorgeous opening guitars give way to a chugging melodic verse and then when the song opens into the chorus, everything gets wide-eyed and feels like a summer pick-me up. The lead vocals are super melodic and memorable and the backing harmonies sound absolutely perfect. This is just a great pop song. People who shun catchy pop music because it’s got no grit will wanna stay away from this. But everyone else will wanna hear this – and good luck trying to get “Keep Dreaming” outta your head afterward.
- Song Comes From: Rivoltella
- Album Release Date: 21 Jun 2023
- Purchase/Pre-Order/Pre-Save: Monster Zero / Hey Pizza!
First Impressions are whiz-bang reviews of singles, 7″s, EPs, and LPs which are given a review after a single listen. This is a great way for TGEFM to showcase some of the releases which may not get a full review on their own.
