A previously unreleased song has dropped from the legendary Motörhead. “Bullet In Your Brain” arrived a couple days back and was accompanied by a video. The song comes from Bad Magic: SERIOUSLY BAD MAGIC, a re-release of the band’s final release, 2015’s Bad Magic album. That re-release includes two previously unreleased songs and a live performance from the Mt. Fuji Festival in Japan. It arrives 24 Feb 2023.
“Bullet In Your Brain” has the raspy croak of Lemmy front and center over an insistent guitar riff that electrifies high on the verses and then broods and destroys low on the chorus. Along comes the rumbling and roaring bass and the never-say-slow-down drums, and the song ends up another Motörhead song – exactly what I expect and exactly what I crave. This is pure no bullshit rock and roll. That’s all.
