Throughout last year Pure Noise Records, collaborating with Pabst Blue Ribbon, released a steady stream of cover songs under the moniker Dead Formats Vol. 1, culminating in the full album being released at the end of the year (TGEFM’s review). Recently they announced the second volume, and have now released their fourth batch of covers (now totaling nine release this far.
First up is Chicago’s Belmont, who perform their rendition of the 2023 Linkin Park song “Lying From You.”
San Jose’s Mugshot are up next with the Slipknot song “Get This.” The original appears on the self-titled Slipknot album from 1999.
Finally Sacramento’s The Seafloor Cinema are Taking Back Sunday in their cover of “Cute Without the E.”
