When a global pandemic shut down Lost Evenings IV, the 4 day festival created by Frank Turner, an international collaboration of fans took over with this video of “Polaroid Picture.” Over 50 musicians from 6 countries came together to present their take on “Polaroid Picture” off of Turner’s 2013 album Tape Deck Heart.
This year’s festival was intended to feature performances by Turner along with Henry Rollins, KT Tunstall, Dave Hause and Jon Snodgrass. Originally scheduled for May 21-24, 2020, Lost Evenings IV was also set to include a selection of panels, masterclasses and workshops run across the 4 days, featuring leading industry insiders, musicians, experts and music professionals offering inspiration, insight and advice to audiences.
Bad Dad (occasionally called Ed) has been on the periphery of the punk and punk-adjacent scene for over twenty years. While many contributors to this site have musical experience and talent, Ed’s musical claim to fame comes from his time in arguably the most punk rock Blockbuster Video district in NJ where he worked alongside members of Blanks 77, Best Hit TV and Brian Fallon. He is more than just an awful father to his 2 daughters, he is also a dreadful husband, a subpar writer, a terrible dresser and has a severe deficiency in all things talent… but hey, at least he’s self-aware, amirite?
