New New York group Friday Night Vampires, featuring current and former members of The Jukebox Romantics, The ZPCs, and Phone Home, have announced their debut, self-titled EP. The band plays a strain of the posi-punk that wears its rock roots on its sleeve, and gives you the feels. Good stuff.
The EP is due out 03 Nov 2023 via Stay Tough Records, and digital preorders are currently up at Bandcamp, with physical preorders coming soon. They’ve also released the closing track from the EP, “Bottom Line,” as the first single.
the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, and now within earshot of SFO in the Bay Area. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
