Gentlemen Rogues find the humor in “Involuntary Solitary”

Austin rockers Gentlemen Rogues have launched the music video for new single “Involuntary Solitary.”

The single can be found on the quartet’s LP, Surface Noise. Vocalist Danny Dunlap explains the video:

“The video is a visual love letter to Kids in the Hall, and was made to look like one of the classic intros to their TV show. An homage, I suppose? We also sprinkled in a few quick nods to some of the iconic characters and sketches from the show. Kids in the Hall were incredibly formative to my sense of humor when I was growing up. In fact, between the movies of the Zucker brothers — AirplaneTop SecretThe Naked Gun—and the sketch comedy of Kids in the Hall, I’d be hard pressed to name anything more influential in warping my mind towards  the kinds of things that I find funny. Andrew totally nailed the ’90s era Kids in the Hall vibe, and we love the way the video turned out. It’s instantly familiar, nostalgic and comforting.”
