Grim Deeds, prodigious creator of fun pop-punk has joined forces with his metal counterpart Blazon Stone to create a punk version of the track “Stand Your Line,” which originally comes off of Blazon Stone’s 2013 debut album Return to Port Royal.
Similar to Deeds, Sweden’s Blazon Stone (aka- Cederick Forsberg) is a multi-instrumentalist known for his blazing metal/thrash tracks where he plays a majority (often all) of the instruments and helps with backing vocals, while a rotating menagerie of guests provide the pipes.
As part of a long-running series of collaborations, Stone and Deeds re-worked “Stand Your Line” into something more akin to the punk that Deeds is known for, with him providing the decidedly less metal vocals this time around.
You can check out the punk version, as well as the recent music video for the metal “Stand Your Line,” released in support of 2020’s Return to Port Royal: The Definitive Edition, below. Like what you hear? Hit up either Grim Deeds or Blazon Stone‘s Bandcamp pages (or both, why not?) for more.
