It’s crazy to think we are ten years out from Battle Maximus, GWAR‘s last album with Oderus Urungus (aka Dave Brockie). Yet here we are with the band announcing the upcoming 10th anniversary edition of the album, remixed and remastered. The album will feature the original 13 tracks, along with bonus songs “Wheel of Punishment” and “Carry On My Wayward Son,” originally by Kansas (no word yet if that’s the studio version from the European release, the live version from The Onion’s AV Undercover series, or otherwise). The album will also include the final, unreleased Oderus song :”Tammy, Queen of Dirt,” which will actually be slotted into the original track listing for Battle Maximus.

the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, and now within earshot of SFO in the Bay Area. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
