OK, so except for a lone single in 2021 (“Time Machine”), Hack The Mainframe have been pretty quiet since their 2017 debut LP Disorders of Consciousness. Which is why the fact they’ve released a new video for the song “Amy” off of that album seven years after it was released leads me to think that they’ve got something more up their sleeves.*
Anyhow, see the video for “Amy” below, both a tribute and, well… a bit of whinging, too… a tribute to a lost friend. Find more Hack The Mainframe at the PEE Records Bandcamp or the band’s Spotify.
*I was right! Per a band reply to a comment on YouTube: “We have a new song out soon on the Pee approved compilation! And more to follow!”
the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, and now within earshot of SFO in the Bay Area. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
