Vancouver-based, (mostly) Russian language punk act Russian Tim and Pavel Bures have released a cover of a cover, “Disko Boy.” The track is originally by Shantel, with RTPB basing their cover on Balkan Shmalkan‘s rendition of the song.
As Russian Tim and Pavel Bures freely admit: “(a)nd we did a cover of a cover which is considered cringy by punk purists, this is why we did it.”
