Here’s a site many of us have never seen in person. Likely a lot of us weren’t even alive or just too young. But the CBGB men’s room is infamous for being, well… trashy. Just look at it!
Super-talented miniature modeler and artist Danielle McGurran has plied her considerable skills to tackling the men’s room of CBGB circa 1980 in tiny form. Per her post on social media, Danielle explains the materials and process as “paper, foam core, polymer clay, styrene, egg carton, acrylics, LED lights. I hand cut more than 500 stickers and flyers…”
Be sure to scroll through the four photos. Skilled work, and a sight to behold! Hit up her page on Instagram to follow Danielle’s work, and even hit her up for a commission if interested. She’s does more than bathrooms.
the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, and now within earshot of SFO in the Bay Area. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
