Parquet Courts have released “Homo Sapien,” the next single and video from their upcoming album. new single and video from their upcoming album. The track is the third single to be released “from the Sympathy for Life LP, which is due out 22 Oct 2021 via Rough Trade.
I’m going to editorialize for a bit here with two observations:
- The bass player, Sean Yeaton, is dressed in 18th century garb and, no, this is in no way explained during the video (maybe the lyrics… hard to catch).
- I had a hard time deciding Sean is a large man, or his bass is tiny. Turns out it might be a bit of both, as it appears he is playing a Fender Mustang short-scale bass.
