If it seems like just last March that Minnesota’s VIAL put out a new record, well… you’re right! The burnout LP released on 29 Mar of this year, but the band never stops and they’ve already got a new single, “DIY or Die,” out now via Trout Hole Records and, holy hell is it angry. Even better, the band takes on the classic scene from Carrie where Sissy Spacek, as the titular character, is duped into thinking she’s the queen of the dance, only to be covered in blood. While Carrie took up psychic murder as revenge, VIAL take up the guitar.
See the video below, and visit VIAL at their Bandcamp (although this single isn’t available there as of yet) and Spotify.
the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, and now within earshot of SFO in the Bay Area. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
