Next Saturday, July 25th, Joey Cape will be hitting the Stage(It) again for a livestream performance. In an expected turn events, Joey’s performance partner (muse, even?) Brian Wahlstrom (Scorpios, Bandaid Brigade) will be helping to flesh out the performance.
This time around, the theme is “To All My Friends,” and Joey will be performing songs requested by a bevy of musicians in the scene (you can check out a list of requesters below).
Following the same format as Joey’s past performances, the event is accessible via a ticket system, with entry starting at 50 “Notes” (equal to $5). Users can choose to pay more for their tickets (“tipping”) with the five biggest “tippers” receiving prize bundles. Furthermore, the biggest “tip” will be matched/doubled by Fat Wreck Chords and donated to Brennan Center for Justice, as well as a private 30-minute Zoom session with Joey, and they can invite five of their friends.
You can pick up tickets for the performance HERE, and the show will be live at 2 pm PDT / 5 pm EDT / 10 pm BST / 11 pm CEST / 6 am Japan (July 26) / 7 am Australia/NZ (July 26)
On June 18th TGEFM aired our “Who’s Zoomin’ Who?” video interview with Joey and Brian. You can check that out below.
the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, and now within earshot of SFO in the Bay Area. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
