Kepi Ghoulie (of The Groovie Ghoulies) has a new album on the way. The cover record is called Full Moon Forever and is available for pre-order via Pirates Press Records. Listed guests on the upcoming album include Ara Babajian (The Slackers), Ian Fowles (The Aquabats!), Aaron Minton (Prima Donna), and Kevin Preston (Foxboro Hot Tubs).
Accompanying the preorder from Pirate Press Records is a second pre-order of the vinyl reissue of The Groovie Ghoulies 1996 full-length World Contact Day.
As an extra special treat to celebrate the pre-order announcements Kepi has premiered the lead single from the new record, “Happy When It Rains” from Jesus and Mary Chain‘s 1987 Darklands album. Check it out below.
Bad Dad (occasionally called Ed) has been on the periphery of the punk and punk-adjacent scene for over twenty years. While many contributors to this site have musical experience and talent, Ed’s musical claim to fame comes from his time in arguably the most punk rock Blockbuster Video district in NJ where he worked alongside members of Blanks 77, Best Hit TV and Brian Fallon. He is more than just an awful father to his 2 daughters, he is also a dreadful husband, a subpar writer, a terrible dresser and has a severe deficiency in all things talent… but hey, at least he’s self-aware, amirite?
