Director Scott Crawford (2015’s Salad Days: A Decade of Punk in Washington, DC) has turned his sights on legendary Vancouver punk act D.O.A., and has launched a Kickstarter to fund a documentary on the band.
Lest one think this will just be a retrospective, the doc will also focus on the activism and political activities of D.O.A. frontman Joe Keithley, including his 2016 run for a seat on the city council, and looking forward to his plans for the next election in 2022.
You can check out the details of the (nearly funded) Kickstarter campaign here.
the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, the SF/Bay Area, and now the Twin Cities. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
