Perpetual rocker/power-punk/pop-punk and all around TGEFM favorite Kurt Baker (The Leftovers, The Kurt Baker Combo, K7s, and more) has released a new single about what it means to pursue your dreams. “Delusional” is all about whether or not you’re a worthy successor to the bands that influence you and, as Kurt describes:
This song came to me very quickly when I started to think about my old days writing songs for my first pop punk band The Leftovers. I picked up the guitar and the chords came with the lyric “delusional”. Sometimes it ain’t easy playing music and pursuing your passions – sometimes you might think “Am I totally just full of crap?”. Well, chances are you are NOT, but this song is about the feeling you sometimes get when you start to question yourself. Musically this song is influenced by bands I loved when I was a young pop punkers – Descendents, Screeching Weasel, and Green Day.
