Two Minutes to Late Night has returned with the latest in their “Bedroom Covers” series.
This iteration sees AEW’s Orange Cassidy enter a Battle Royale with members of Touche Amore, PUP, God’s Hate, Bloodbather and Gwarsenio Hall to perform a hardcore influenced cover of The Pixies‘ “Where is My Mind” off the 1988 masterpiece Surfer Rosa. The song also appears as Cassidy’s entrance song.
Two Minutes To Late Night is a heavy-metal themed talk show featuring Gwarsenio Hall, the corpse-painted host and his house band, Mutoid Man.
This is the 44th installment in the Patreon supported “Bedroom Covers” where Hall and friends record metal covers. Previous covers have included a brilliant medley of 90s club hits and unique takes on Rush, Rage Against the Machine and Bonnie Raitt among others, all of which can be found here.
Bad Dad (occasionally called Ed) has been on the periphery of the punk and punk-adjacent scene for over twenty years. While many contributors to this site have musical experience and talent, Ed’s musical claim to fame comes from his time in arguably the most punk rock Blockbuster Video district in NJ where he worked alongside members of Blanks 77, Best Hit TV and Brian Fallon. He is more than just an awful father to his 2 daughters, he is also a dreadful husband, a subpar writer, a terrible dresser and has a severe deficiency in all things talent… but hey, at least he’s self-aware, amirite?
