Low Coast, the soulful alt-rock act from Gameface‘s Jeff Caudill, released their debut LP Existing the Dream last year via Spartan Records. Now the band has delivered a new single and video “Old Blood,” their first new music since that album dropped. Caudill says about the song:
I think this might be one of the more significant songs I’ve written—like, ‘my wife is gonna play it at my funeral’ significant. I wrote ‘Old Blood’ during the height of Covid thinking about how long life is, and how gradually things come into focus over a lifetime. I had recorded a simple acoustic version as a marker for my 50th birthday. Low Coast brought it to life. As soon as Mike played that bass line I knew we were going somewhere new. Everything is in the right place. It’s got all the feels, and a shiny brass section.
