Public Interest, the solo(ish) project of Oakland CA’s Chris Natividad, have released their debut LP. Titled Spiritual Pollution, it follows up 2020’s Decency EP, and is a must-listen for anyone who’s keen on the late-0s/early-80s style of moody proto-punk and new wave.
The album is available at Bandcamp as a digital download and on cassette. If you live in the EU (or can swing the shipping costs), Erste Theke Tontraeger also has it on vinyl, and Spotify has it streaming.

He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, and now within earshot of SFO in the Bay Area.
