It’s true that New York surf rockers Wiped Out released this album back in October 2022, but now Otitis Media Records has widened your options, releasing the LP on vinyl, as well. The band trucks in that kind of twangy, slightly sinister blend of instrumental surf rock and, while the whole album is a treat, their cover of The Ventures‘ “Walk, Don’t Run” stays true to the source while also updating the beats, which add a whole new element to one of my favorite songs ever.
You can get the album as a digital download directly from the Wiped Out Bandcamp, or swing by Otitis Media’s Bandcamp if you’re looking for vinyl. And, of course, there’s always Spotify.
