It seems the band’s image was too much to overcome in the face of Russia’s continuing aggression in Ukraine. Austria-based act Russkaja has announced they will be throwing in the towel. There are a lot of obvious reasons for this, and the band’s statement below goes into some explicit detail, and essentially proves that we can’t have nice things, even when Russkaja stood against everything that the current leadership in Russia stands for.

If only we had more of this instead of more of Putin, amiright? Russkaja‘s new LP, their first on their new home Napalm Records, is now available. Turbo Polka Party is, frankly, exactly what it says. If you’re into metal/polka mash-ups, this is the place to be!
