The previously fictional band Semi-Famous, created in the pages of ex-Screeching Weasel axe slinger John “Jughead” Pierson’s book Weasels In A Box finally comes full to life in the debut LP Destroy Ourselves. Also featuring Ryan Rockwell (Mixtapes), Billy Brown (Crash And Burn, Ashers, Unseen) and Poli Van Dam (ex-Bombpops), and more, the album is out now via Rare Bird / Duck! Records. In addition to the LP release, the band has also delivered a music video for the track “Obvious.”

the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, and now within earshot of SFO in the Bay Area. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
